7624 wydown – clayton, missouri 63105

I Fratellini is my favorite Italian resturant in St. Louis.  And no, it is not on The HILL (Italian neighborhood in St Louis).  It is tucked away on a side street in Clayton, and has a quaint neighborhood feel to it.  A tiny bistro with tremendous ambiance.

The atmosphere is romantic and intimate. The exposed brick, unique lighting and candlelight that extends no further than your tabletop make for the perfect date location or place to impress.  The attentive staff is very accommodating and they notice when your bread needs replenishing or your water needs refilling.

The meal always begins with bread and a soft pistachio butter.  I ordered the Tagliatelle with Prosciutto. The portion was large and the garlic cream sauce was  perfectly creamy, not too heavy.  The proscuitto was crispy and I had a never-ending supply of mushrooms in the dish.  Perfect with a glass of red wine!  To finish off our meal we split the famous tiramisu.  I think the picture speaks for itself.
